A Radom act of Kindness

What random act of kindness have you done for others?

I have:

I've anonymously purchased other people's dinners when I'm out. I get a kick out of that!

I've anonymously given unknown members of my church money from $10.00 to 100.00 twice per month.

I walk up to people on the street or in the mall and give them an envelope containing money or other gifts life watches etc.

I visit the hospital and spend time with the elderly.

I continue to keep children first with continued random acts of kindness.

Again, What have you done for others?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ARK is "A Radom act of Kindness. This program was developed by our CFO L. Louis Jordan in connection with Pay it Forward.

A random act of kindness is a purportedly selfless act performed by a person or persons wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual or in some cases even an animal. There will generally be no reason other than to make people smile, or be happier. Either spontaneous or planned in advance, random acts of kindness are encouraged by various communities. An oft-cited example of a random act of kindness is, when paying the toll at a  toll both on a highway, to pay the toll for the vehicle behind you as well.

Whereas random acts of kindness are too often overlooked; and

Whereas simple act of kindness has the potential to generate others that help to lift spirits and create goodwill; and

Whereas one simple act of kindness Day will remind children, students, staff, religious persons, educators, community groups, individuals, leaders and others by showing respect, generosity, patience and considerations will help build positive attitudes and a peaceful community.

Therefore, I, L. Louis Jordan do hereby proclaim everyday as ARK day effective immediately and hereby challenge each and everyone reading this proclamation to go out and do an a random act of kindness.

Signed under my hand this day 4 July 2008.

This program is dedicated to the memory of my daughter, Estella "QS" Brooks Davenport and Faith Fellowship World Outreach Christian Center family in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
